This small museum is located near the gigantic Mexican Flag at Km 4 at Boulevard Kulkulcan and is convenient from the Zona Hotelera. The permanent collection consists of more than 3,400 pieces of art in various genres.

Stroll through a collection of musical instruments, containers made from gourds, kitchen utensils, masks, Mexican toys, figures dressed in costumes from various regions, and tree of life sculptures. Read the stories of the Bible, bullfighters and fables through symbolic figurines bunched together like branches and leaves. Mexican national themes are reflected in sculptures of angels with wings, the eagle killing the snake, the Virgin of Guadalupe and skeletons from the Day of the Dead.

The collections on display are grouped in an interesting manner allowing visitors to compare art in its various styles. Some pieces in the gourd collection are painted while others are covered in beads or enameled.

Get an audio guided tour on cassette in either English or Spanish, so you can learn more about the exhibits. This museum aims to promote modern Mexican art through exhibitions and exposure.
